Hi, I’m Sophia
I work as a project manager. I am a parent. I’m an expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn’t on the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and rapidly grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and different expectations. Daily tasks seemed more challenging than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Phase
The initial months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and different expectations. Daily tasks seemed more challenging than they ought to be.
Why I Created Dawn Sierra Fable
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What lacked was a truthful, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical, real-world experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever there is a meaningful change
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not merely a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Germany continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep noting what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sophia
